"What's your return policy?" is one of the top three pre-purchase questions. "When does my return window close?" is one of the top three post-purchase tickets. A concrete date — "Easy returns until April 5" — on every order confirmation eliminates both.

Return policies in vague terms ("30 days from delivery") force customers to do math they shouldn't have to. Worse, customers contact support to confirm. Every "is it still returnable?" ticket is a sign your return communication isn't doing its job.

ShipCast uses the latest delivery date in your estimate, not the earliest. So if your promise is "April 1–April 5" and your return window is 30 days, the printed deadline is May 5 — never before the customer actually receives the package, even in the worst carrier scenario.
